Until the last few days, it was easy to download PokeGo++ and spoof your location on Pokémon Go. So, what happened that has made it difficult to get the app in most stores?
Earlier in July, Niantic sued the makers of PokeGo++, Global++, for selling a tweaked version of Pokémon Go. This led to Global++ closing their websites and many users found it difficult to get their favorite location spoofer for Pokémon Go.
But this doesn’t mean that you can’t download the PokeGo++ IPA. There are several sources online that still have the app. However, in most cases, you won’t get the latest version.
What is PokeGo++?
For those who are new to this tweak, PokeGo++ is one of the many Pokémon Go tweaks that allow you to play the game without moving. To do this, the tweak spoofs Niantic servers to believe that you are actually moving when you aren’t.
Niantic has developed sophisticated algorithms that monitor players move in real-time and flag accounts that appear to be using spoofers. They have deactivated many accounts as a result.
PokeGo++ was loved by many people as it was able to bypass detection by Niantic servers. The developers behind the app managed to make teleporting appear as real as it can get. This eventually prompted Niantic to go after them in court.
How to download and install PokeGo++
Download PokeGo++ IPA here. The tweak is also available on platforms like TweakBox and TutuApp. Ensure you are running the latest version of iTunes too. Once you have it downloaded to your PC or Mac, follow the steps below:
- Connect your iPhone or iPad to the computer using your lighting cable
- Launch Cydia Impactor on your Mac or PC
- Navigate to Device > Install Package
- Navigate to where you downloaded the PokeGo++ .IPA and select it
- Wait for Cydia Impactor to finish sideloading the app
You have now installed PokeGo++, but this isn’t the last step. Go to your Home Screen and ensure that the app icon appears. Don’t open it first. Instead, go to Settings > General > Device management and find the developer’s certificate. Click on it and tap Trust.
If you can’t use Cydia Impactor to download the latest PokeGo++ version, you can try out ReProvision. The best thing about this sideloading app is that it can install the app right from your device.
Since the app is no longer supported by the developers beware about malicious apps that you may find from other websites randomly. However, if you have managed to install PokeGo++, let us know your experience when using the app. If all these links have been removed and the app no longer exists, why not try out one of the many PokeGo++ alternatives?
